What Will I Learn from the Results?

The report will provide a detailed profile of cognitive and behavioral strengths and weaknesses with recommendations. The results may be helpful for:

  • Understanding the underlying neurological causes of weaknesses and how to address them
     

  • Understanding one’s unique learning style
     

  • Understanding issues related to illness or injury
     

  • Determining the underlying cause of academic or behavior problems in school
     

  • Determining the need for or effectiveness of medications
     

  • Creating a treatment plan and strategies for intervention utilizing ones’ strengths
     

  • School planning/assisting with IEPs or 504 plans
     

  • Documenting Learning Disorder for college-board test accommodations (SAT, ACT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, etc.)

  • Creating a team approach to treatment by providing results to healthcare providers, teachers, or therapists to help guide intervention and maximize potential
     

  • Providing referrals to appropriate treatment providers and follow-up services (educational therapist, occupational therapist, tutor, psychiatrist, psychotherapist, etc.)
     

  • Clarifying diagnostic uncertainty
     

  • Determining the need for and type of remediation
     

  • Presurgical planning
     

  • Establishing baseline abilities to determine change in cognition over time as it relates to an illness or injury
